Is stress keeping you overweight?

Have you noticed that the more stressed you are the harder it is to lose weight?

There's a reason for it and it's called Cortisol. When you experience stress your body releases the hormone Cortisol to help you cope with the challenge.
In order to protect you, Cortisol tells your body to store fat for the hard times ahead. When the stress goes away the Cortisol levels drop and you store less fat. However, if you never relax this doesn't  happen and your body stays in fat-storing mode.

So, to lose that weight, give your adrenal glands a bit of a rest.Slow down while eating to digest your food thoroughly. Exercise, but don't let that stress you out either :) Relax before sleeping every night. By slowing down and enjoying life you'll end up losing weight faster.
